Making a Purchase from MAP Security

Making a purchase is simple and could not be easier. Just browse our website and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy your order.

We accept all major debit and credit cards. We do not hold your credit card details on file and all transactions take place on a 128 bit encrypted secure server via Worldpay (RBS). If you prefer we are happy to accept purchases over the telephone and you can select this option at checkout.

All orders are subject to the standard 20% VAT and this is added to the order at the checkout stage. If you are based in the EU have a registered VAT account, we will issue a VAT reciept for you to reclaim locally. VAT reciepts can be accessed for all orders bt simply clicking the "pdf Invoice" tag.

Fedex Saturday by midday: £25

How Long Does Delivery Take?

Orders must be received before 1pm for next working day delivery. Occasionally this can take up to 2 working days dependent on your location. Excluding Northern reland and EU Countries can take upto 5 working days. where delivery takes longer.Fedex Next Day delivery excludes weekends and bank Holidays.  MAP cannot be held responsible for delays using Royal Mail service for obvious reasons.

Please note Fedex delivers between 7.30am - 18.00pm. If you are unavailable between these times then you will be left a card to contact your nearest Fedx depot to arrange re-delivery.

On specific request we can advise Fedex to deliver of goods to a next door neighbour BUT a signature is always required for them to do this...ie They cannot leave parcel in shed / safe place.

The drivers can only return to a customer once more after they have left a calling card, If you still are unavailable the goods will be returned to the local depot for collection by the customer. If the customer fails to pick up parcel and Fedex return to MAP we reserve the right to charge customer for this service.

Missing Items

If you believe you have a missing item or have been sent goods incorrectly and it as not been advised on the shipping notes that other items are to follow contact us immediately on day of receipt. All Items despatched from MAP are monitored via CCTV and we can check your consignment for accuracy / correct goods. In the unlikely even that we have misplaced your items we will endeavour to ship you the missing items ASAP.

Guarantee

All products shown are new and covered by manufacturers warranty for a minimum of 12 months unless otherwise stated. (All warranties exclude product misuse, modifying a product in any way, video heads, monitor tubes & CCD sensors damaged by normal wear & tear). This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Some products we offer do not come packaged and therefore we take responsibility to ensure all items are safely bubble wraped to avoid damage in transit.

Can I cancel my order?

You have the right to cancel your order with us, in accordance with Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. The period in which you can exercise that right is 7 working days beginning the day after your goods are received. The unused goods (including any free gifts) must be returned as originally packaged at the customer’s expense. You must click on the "contact us" link and apply for a returns number (RMA). We reserve the right to have the goods inspected by a technician prior to replacement or refund.

MAP Security will not refund any delivery charges on the original order. We will charge at ourt standard rates of postage even if the order qualified for free delivery.

Faulty Products / Dead on Arrival / Cancellation Procedure

In the unlikely event that you receive a faulty product, your product becomes faulty or you wish to cancel your order, please phone or complete the "contact us" form and a member of our team will contact you to discuss your returns request. Please ensure you read the below Returns Exclusions before completing the form.

Please note - We are unable to process your returns form if you do not enter your invoice number.

Upon receipt of this request, you will be give the customer a ‘Returns Number’. The returns procedure will be sent to you by E-mail.

Please note, all items must be returned in their original packaging and condition. We will either repair OR replace the product. We strongly recommend that you use a courier delivery service OR tracked service as MAP Security will not be responsible for any damage incurred during delivery or items lost in the post. All returns are to be sent to MAP Security at the customer’s own expense . You will not be refunded for the price you paid for delivery to return the item.

The following conditions apply to the returns / cancellation policies stated above:

  • Goods that are not in their original packaging and not in good condition are excluded and will be rejected by our returns dept.
  • Defacing of any of our products with our address or description of the faults will invalidate any refunds or credit due to be given and the item will be returned back to you.
  • Goods that have items missing cannot be tested or refunded and you will be required to send any missing items to us before we deal with the return.
  • If you purchase a CCTV kit, you will only receive a refund if the whole kit is returned. Faulty items within the kit will be repaired or replaced.
  • Any goods with cut cables, or any modifications of any kind will be rejected by our warehouse and are not covered under warranty.
  • Any items that have been blown by an incorrect power supply being used are not covered under warranty.
  • All warranties exclude product misuse, acts of God i.e. lightening strikes, bulbs, IR LED’s, monitor tubes & CCD sensors damaged by normal wear & tear.
  • We cannot be held responsible for any goods that are returned without an authorised Returns Form - These will be rejected by our warehouse.
  • MAP Security do not operate a "sale or return" policy or advance replacements.
  • If your product is found to be faulty you will either be offered an exact replacement (if the product cannot be repaired) or a refund in the first 30 days, after this period you will be elligible for a replacement (if the product cannot be repaired) only.
  • MAP Security may claim back the postage if the return is after 14 days from purchase at the company’s discretion.
  • You will NOT be refunded for your delivery charges should you be requesting a refund for your order.

Please note the following;

MAP Security are not responsible for networking any DVR. If buying a DVR please make sure you have a qualified IT person to network the DVR for you. We cannot be held responsible for failure to network and will not accept any DVR back due to this. Please remember we are a distributor of CCTV goods and not a specialist IT Company.
