Product Description
This is an incredibly simple entry level security kit that wirelessly links an external PIR sensor to a plug-in receiver. When the PIR is triggered the receiver will sound a 'bing-bong' (over 30 other sounds / melodies to select) as well as lighting up to inform you of the trigger.
A total of 32-sensors including external beams can be added to the receiver and the PIR / receiver can be added to an existing external system that utilises 900M solar equipment.
This kit is ideal for:
- Situations where an instant alert to visitors on site is required (building sites, yards etc...)
- Simple external protection of houses / workshops and sheds
- As a button-free door bell, a bing-bong will trigger before anyone gets to your door
Product Specifics
PIR:
The detection range of the PIR is 15m - this can be reduced by selecting one of the three settings on the PIR.
If positioned horizontally at about 1.5m above ground the PIR will avoid detecting small animals and wildlife to avoid false triggers.
Range:
The wireless range of the PIR is 600m (line-of-sight) - the sensible operating distance will equate to around 250-400 metres depending on the number of obstacles between the transmitter and receiver.
A repeater can be added to increase the transmission range to 900m.
PSU:
The PIR operates using a solar panel that keeps an internal (supplied) battery pack charged up and functional. There is a socket to the rear of the PIR that allows you to plug in an AC adapter to boost the charge if your PIR happens to be situated in a shady area or has lacked charge due to poor weather.
Bracket:
An adjustable PIR bracket is supplied with the device.
