Solar beam kits are ideal for perimeter protection, casting a 'virtual fence' using a choice of 1,2 or 3 beams the system will alert you when all beams have been broken. A three beam kit is ideal if you live in an area of plentiful nature (when you don't want rabbits triggering your security system) single beam kits are ideal for gateways and places you suspect people are coming through. Mains power is only required for the main receiver, the beams themselves operate using solar panels (and can be recharged with a 12v adapter)
